Jason Davis

Hi, I’m Jason Davis, a multi-passionate Personal Trainer.

Most days you can find me working between my multiple businesses. People often refer to me as “mean or military-like” until they get to know me. Otherwise, I’m lovingly known as “That loud trainer.” I love serving the world by helping people heal mental and emotional hurt. My passion in life is emotional wellness and the impact that has on the physical body. To address this, I look at helping people who struggle with self-esteem and confidence. I believe a focus on commitment and consistency is key, especially when you want to become the best version of yourself. I consider myself lucky to give them the tools to improve themselves physically, mentally and emotionally, while teaching them how to healthily insert balance and fun into their lives.

I have been a trainer for 27 years, and have personal training certifications, as well as degrees in psychology and biology. I have an Associate’s Degree in Counseling, and am currently pursuing a masters in psychology. I have worked with, trained, and coached all types of clients. All ages, genders, and abilities. My most successful client was one who I helped rehab knee, hip and shoulder replacement, femur surgery, and 25% lung removal. On top of all of that, we tackled cancer together, too. Her doctors said that if she wasn’t in the physical condition she was in when all this happened, she wouldn’t have survived it all. I am honored that she considers me one of the people who saved her life. As a Personal Trainer I’ve been spotlighted on various news broadcasts and mentioned in three books written by my clients. I have also been showcased by the city of Chapel hill, and received the Award of Excellence from the Greensboro Police Department from a program I created and ran for at-risk youths.

When I’m not busy contacting clients, speaking at seminars, or counseling, I like to relax in front of the TV. My current favorite shows are Game of Thrones, South Park, History Channel, and Astronomy and Physics Today.

My Advice for the beginner: Make 75% good decisions about your life. By that, I mean that you will never always make 100% good decisions for your body. However, if the vast majority of those decisions are good, or advantageous to your body, it will last longer and be more effective.

If you’re still reading, here are five things you might not know about me:

1. I’m afraid of any insect that I cannot adequately fight with my hands

2. I have 48 first cousins

3. I l o v e sweets

4. I’m a movie-holic; I will go see a movie twice before I go with anyone else, and have almost gotten into a fist fight about missing the previews.

5. Contrary to popular belief, I was not in the military.
